Senior Associate ESG Assurance Full Time

Role Overview

As a Senior Associate (RA), you will be involved in auditing clients’ CSRD and broader ESG reporting, primarily for large and listed organizations. These assignments are often deadline-driven and require a strong methodological approach. Working as part of the assurance team under the guidance of a manager, you will evaluate ESG disclosures and support PwC’s wider audit practice. The role will also provide opportunities to develop as an ESG specialist, including participating in client interviews and broader sustainability assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members to design, plan, and execute assurance approaches for corporate ESG disclosures.
• Review CSRD reports and other ESG information, including key performance indicators such as carbon emissions for clients with technical operations or safety-related incidents in international settings.
• Build your expertise in ESG reporting frameworks and standards, including CSRD/ESRS, EU Taxonomy, and the GHG Protocol.
• Work with colleagues to present findings and provide recommendations on ESG reporting-related matters.
• Support additional client engagements, such as workshops and CSRD readiness assessments.

In addition, you bring:

• A master’s degree
• A post-master’s Registered Accountancy qualification, either completed or currently in progress
• More than 3 years of relevant professional experience
• Strong interest in sustainability, ESG reporting, and related assurance work
• Experience conducting audit work independently and mentoring more junior team members
• Fluency in both English and Dutch
