Will Mumbai see record-breaking heat like 2024 again? As winter draws to a close, the city is seeing a consistent increase in temperature, signaling the start of summer. Although 2025 is not predicted to be as hot as 2024, preliminary data points to a warmer-than-normal season, raising concerns about record-breaking heat in the coming months. Mumbai Rain X claims that the temperature has already begun to rise and that a comprehensive summer prediction will be made available shortly to give a better idea of what lies ahead.

The highest recorded temperature in Mumbai on February 14, 2025, was 32.8°C, while the lowest recorded temperature was 21.7°C. The city’s humidity levels peaked at 91% in the morning and dropped to 35% in the afternoon. Atmospheric pressure was recorded at a high of 29.99 “Hg and a low of 29.78 “Hg during the day. There hasn’t been any rain in the past 24 hours.

Weather Forecast: Gradual Temperature Increase Expected

The seven-day forecast indicates that daytime temperatures will gradually rise, ranging from 33°C to 35°C. On February 11, Mumbai saw fog and mist, but the remainder of the week saw bright skies with plenty of sunlight.

According to BBC Weather, Mumbai is predicted to have a maximum temperature of 34°C on February 15, 2025, which is 1.2°C more than average, and a minimum temperature of 22°C, which is 2.0°C higher than average. Conditions will remain dry since there is no chance of rainfall. It is anticipated that the morning humidity will be 57% and the evening humidity will be 41%.

No Extreme Heatwaves, But Humidity Will Persist

Mumbai’s infamously high humidity levels will intensify the heat even if catastrophic heatwaves like the one in 2024 are improbable. Although this summer won’t set any new records, rising temperatures contribute to a pattern of record-breaking heat observed globally. Weather experts on X and other meteorologists caution that prolonged exposure to high humidity and increasing temperatures can still make conditions unbearable.

As temperatures rise, residents are urged to take the appropriate precautions, stay hydrated, and avoid excessive sun exposure. Mumbai’s high humidity makes even mild temperatures feel considerably hotter, which raises the possibility of heat-related illnesses.

Since conditions can change quickly, experts advise locals to stay informed about official weather forecasts as summer approaches.
