Tesla launches its first destination charging station in Delhi, marking another step in the company’s growing investment in India’s electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem. The new facility, located at Nexus Select CITYWALK in South Delhi, gives Tesla owners a convenient place to charge their vehicles while shopping, dining, or watching a movie. Equipped with six 11 kW AC Destination Chargers, the station is designed for everyday charging rather than rapid top-ups, complementing Tesla’s existing Supercharger network.
The launch comes as India’s EV market continues to grow, with electric passenger vehicle sales reaching record highs in recent years and charging infrastructure emerging as one of the biggest factors influencing consumer adoption.
A Convenient Charging Option for Everyday Use
Unlike Tesla’s high-speed Superchargers, Destination Chargers are intended for places where vehicles remain parked for a few hours.
The new charging station has been installed in the P1 parking area of Nexus Select CITYWALK, allowing drivers to simply plug in their vehicles while they spend time at the mall
Tesla says the chargers deliver 11 kW AC power and are supported by a 99.95% uptime, helping ensure a reliable charging experience for customers.

Stronger Charging Infrastructure Could Boost EV Adoption
Industry experts have long pointed out that access to dependable charging remains one of the biggest barriers to wider electric vehicle adoption. While India’s public charging network has expanded rapidly over the past few years, convenient charging at shopping centres, offices, hotels, and residential complexes is becoming increasingly important for everyday EV users.
Tesla’s latest destination charging facility addresses this need by offering a practical solution where drivers can recharge during regular daily activities instead of making dedicated charging stops.
