Principal Responsibilities

Inspect incoming material streams delivered to the facility to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Perform visual and physical audits of inbound recycling materials to assess composition and recyclability.
Record and document details related to customer loads, including material characteristics and shipment information.
Identify and flag contaminated or non-recyclable loads, including capturing photographic evidence when required.
Communicate significant contamination or non-recyclable material issues to customers and internal teams such as Operations, Accounting, and Sales.
Prepare, update, and submit required reports accurately and within designated timelines.
Perform additional job-related duties as assigned or as operational needs arise.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a safety-sensitive environment such as manufacturing, logistics, transportation, recycling, or waste management.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make informed decisions on job tasks.
Strong visual assessment skills with the ability to evaluate material quality and classify loads accurately.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Flexibility to work variable hours aligned with facility operations and collection schedules.
Initiative, adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to learn new processes.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record may be required in certain locations involving inter-facility travel.
