Local Security Officer & SHE Coordinator HUAD Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Implement corporate and regional SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) standards and adapt them to meet local operational and regulatory requirements across Hungary.
• Develop, execute, and continuously refine the country-level SHE strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational priorities, and risk management frameworks.
• Maintain compliance with Hungarian health, safety, and environmental legislation across offices, distribution facilities, and field-based operations.
• Perform risk assessments, identify workplace hazards, and establish effective mitigation and control measures to reduce operational risks.
• Serve as the designated Safety Officer for the Budapest office, including oversight of fire safety programs and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Track SHE performance metrics, manage incident investigations, conduct root cause analyses, and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead initiatives that promote workplace safety, prevent injuries and environmental incidents, strengthen organizational safety culture, and support sustainability commitments.
• Coordinate employee training programs, safety inductions, audits, inspections, and compliance reviews while ensuring closure of identified action items.
• Support occupational health, wellbeing, security, industrial hygiene, and environmental improvement programs across the organization.
• Incorporate SHE requirements into contractor, supplier, and visitor management processes to maintain comprehensive safety compliance throughout the value chain.
• Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to integrate SHE principles into daily operations, business transformation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Contribute to regional and global SHE communities by sharing best practices, lessons learned, and capability-building initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in Safety, Health, and Environment roles, with hands-on exposure to occupational safety and environmental management.
• Strong understanding of Hungarian SHE regulations and proven experience applying legal requirements within operational environments.
• Advanced English language proficiency with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within multinational organizations or environments such as supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, consulting, or corporate operations.
• Familiarity with Go-to-Market functions, field sales operations, or managing SHE programs across multiple sites.
• Demonstrated involvement in safety culture enhancement programs, behavioral safety initiatives, and continuous improvement projects aimed at driving long-term organizational change.
