Sr. Manager – EHS Full Time

Key Responsibilities

Environmental Management

• Manage environmental risk assessments for solar energy projects.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, ISO 14001, and relevant industry standards.
• Monitor and reduce environmental impacts related to energy use, emissions, waste, and operations.
• Develop and maintain environmental management systems to improve project sustainability.

Sustainability Initiatives

• Create and implement sustainability strategies aligned with long-term business goals.
• Identify opportunities for resource efficiency and sustainable design during planning, procurement, and construction.
• Promote circular economy practices such as recycling, material reuse, and waste reduction.
• Work with engineering teams to integrate renewable and sustainable technologies into project design and execution.

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international environmental requirements for solar projects.
• Manage environmental permits, approvals, documentation, and statutory filings.
• Prepare regular environmental performance and sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Coordinate with regulators, government agencies, environmental organisations, and other stakeholders.
• Educate internal teams on sustainability objectives, environmental practices, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to embed environmental considerations into planning and implementation.

Data Management & Analysis

• Collect, analyse, and report data on energy consumption, waste, emissions, and resource use.
• Track performance against environmental goals and recommend corrective or improvement actions.

Training & Awareness

• Conduct environmental training sessions to build awareness of sustainability practices and company goals.
• Keep employees informed about updated environmental regulations, policies, and solar EPC best practices.

Qualifications

• Full-time bachelor’s degree in any discipline with NEBOSH certification.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in environmental management, sustainability, or a related role, preferably in renewable energy or construction.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, sustainability standards, and renewable energy/EPC best practices.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in environmental software tools, data analysis, and reporting.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, LEED, or similar environmental certifications is preferred.
