Responsibilities

Serve as an Energy Advisor for a large-scale multifamily energy efficiency program.
Support energy efficiency projects from start to finish, including facility audits, energy benchmarking, scope development, project review, construction monitoring, close-out verification, and incentive payment processing.
Manage large incentive payments, including payments of $100,000 or more, for multifamily property owners and contractors.
Conduct property-level energy benchmarking using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
Maintain strong knowledge of program requirements, eligible measures, program updates, incentive reservation status, and other customer-relevant information.
Provide professional customer support related to program rules, technical guidance, issue resolution, and project status updates.
Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate project data.
Update and manage project information within a CRM system.
Prepare and deliver professional reports for program management and customers.
Maintain high standards in work quality, communication, and deliverables.
Coordinate regularly with engineering, outreach, operations, management, and other program team members.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience.

Self-motivated team player with strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication skills across in-person, email, and phone interactions.
Strong written English communication skills; Spanish bilingual ability is an advantage.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams and customers.

Ability to support multiple projects at the same time while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills, including the ability to track and manage project progress.
Ability to schedule and conduct meetings in a professional manner.

Technical understanding of, or ability to learn, building and energy-related concepts such as lighting, mechanical systems, utility systems, building envelope, and energy distribution.
Building science certification would be an advantage.
Familiarity with project design and construction processes; experience with cost estimating, purchasing, and closeout is a plus.
Strong computer proficiency, especially for remote work and virtual meetings. Experience with MS Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
Ability to conduct independent computer-based research. Experience with CRM systems is an advantage.
Experience with customer programs or service delivery is preferred. Experience with utility or energy efficiency programs is a plus.
Experience in affordable housing, low-income or disadvantaged communities, EV charging, and/or demand response deployment would be beneficial.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Valid California driver’s license required before employment, with the ability to travel within California.
Certification or membership related to the building or energy industry is preferred.
