Climate Solutions Associate Full Time

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with diverse coalitions, organizations, and communities across Pennsylvania to advance climate solutions and renewable energy policies.
• Plan and manage webinars, community events, public meetings, and volunteer activities focused on climate change and clean energy.
• Recruit organizations, volunteers, and community members to participate in campaign events and advocacy efforts.
• Generate media visibility by organizing press events, writing opinion pieces, news releases, public statements, and social media content.
• Build campaign presence across social media platforms and grow public engagement.
• Meet with elected officials, build relationships, and advocate for climate and renewable energy policies at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Coordinate legislative strategy with supporters in the Pennsylvania General Assembly and Congress.
• Persuade undecided legislators and defend existing climate and renewable energy programs from policy rollbacks.
• Help grow the campaign team by recruiting volunteers, interns, and full-time staff.
• Lead a summer grassroots campaign office, including fundraising, door-to-door outreach, team management, and membership-building activities.
• Remain flexible for possible summer relocation to another campaign office location.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates are welcome, with training and guidance provided.
• Strong passion for environmental protection and grassroots organizing.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Excellent writing, public speaking, and communication skills.
• Strong listening skills and willingness to learn.
• Ability to find common ground with people across different viewpoints.
• Experience organizing campus, community, or grassroots groups is preferred.
