As the leading global food and beverage company, our mission is simple: harnessing the potential of food to improve the quality of life for everyone, now and in the future. To fulfill this commitment, we are dedicated to serving with enthusiasm and excellence, providing products and services for every stage of life, throughout each day, to support individuals and their families. Our ethos is built on a foundation of values centered on respect: respect for ourselves, for others, for diversity, and for the future.
Our journey began in 1866, with the establishment of the first European condensed milk factory in Cham, Switzerland, by the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company. Soon after, Henri Nestlé, a pharmacist by profession, introduced one of the world’s earliest prepared infant cereals, ‘Farine lactée,’ in Vevey, Switzerland.
Today, our workforce comprises approximately 273,000 individuals, and our presence extends to nearly every corner of the globe, with factories or operations in almost every country. While our headquarters remain in the Swiss town of Vevey, we achieved sales totaling CHF 84.3 billion in 2020.
