Key Responsibilities

Carry out in-depth analysis of energy systems, low-carbon technologies, and energy markets to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to design integrated energy strategies that combine renewable energy, storage technologies, and demand-side management solutions.
Use advanced modelling tools and data analysis methods to assess the performance of renewable energy projects and their impact on the power grid.
Prepare clear, accurate, and insightful reports, presentations, and technical documents to explain complex findings to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
Keep up to date with industry developments, policy changes, regulations, and emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector in order to provide informed strategic advice to clients.
Support business development efforts by contributing to proposal preparation, client presentations, and technical discussions.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and uphold GHD’s reputation for high-quality service.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related discipline.
Relevant professional experience in energy analysis, power systems, and renewable energy technologies.
Strong understanding of the UK energy market, including its policies, regulations, and grid infrastructure.
Demonstrated experience using energy modelling tools such as PLEXOS or similar software.
Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex datasets and draw practical conclusions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a range of audiences.
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams while managing multiple tasks and priorities.
