The Announced Proposed Projects of Longroad Energy
Longroad Energy is developing a range of renewable energy projects throughout the country, including wind and solar and energy storage applications.
1. King Pine Wind
King Pine Wind is a source of renewable energy that harnesses the wind resources of Aroostook County to provide competitive energy costs for its customers and economic benefits to the region while continuing to move toward a cleaner, healthier environment. The Maine-made clean energy will help to:
- Provide Local Economic Benefits
- Lower Electricity Costs
- Increase Winter Reliability
- Improve Energy Security
- Reduce Carbon Pollution
2. 7 Bridges Solar
The proposed project would power 16,000 homes. The site is located three and one-half miles northeast of Chase City and will be bordered on all sides with mature forests to screen the panelled area from public view. It operates 5,000 MW of renewable energy projects nationwide. The forested screen will remain in place for the life of the project.

3. Mahi Solar and Storage Project
They will be developing the Mahi Solar project in Kunia, O’ahu, for the dual purpose of creating clean energy to support local agriculture. The 120 MW project has the potential for annually producing 4% of the island’s electricity-to-power 40,000 homes. It includes a 480 MWh battery system, a new substation, and an extension of the transmission line. Once completed, it is due to take up 617 acres and create 200 jobs in construction and operations. The project is envisioned not to impact any type of cultural activities or archaeological or natural resources.
4. Pūlehu Solar Project
They are developing the Pūlehu Solar project in Pūlehu, Maui, for clean energy production. The project, which would power up to 5% of the island’s electricity annually, will include an 80 MWh battery system and a new substation. The project, to be sited on 363 acres west of Pūlehu Road, will create over 100 jobs during construction and 1-2 long-term positions during operations. Longroad plans to give preference in hiring workers from Maui and the rest of the state.
5. Serrano Gen-Tie Project
The Serrano Gen-Tie Project being developed by Longroad will consist of a new substation and 5-mile double-circuit gen-tie to connect the Serrano Solar and Storage Project to the regional grid at the existing APS Saguaro Substation and TEP Tortolita Substation in Pinal County. The project has applied to the Arizona Corporation Commission for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility. When information on this is available, it will be included on this page.
- In 2024, Longroad has a number of high-impact projects including, among many others, the Prospero Solar project in Texas, a top ranked solar farm in the U.S. with an operating capacity of 379 MW.
- The other major project is Milford Wind in Utah, which expanded to over 300 MW of wind capacity.
- Besides this, Longroad is working on energy storage projects which will go hand in glove with renewable installations. These include an El Campo Wind Farm in Texas, featuring a 50 MW Battery Energy Storage System. These projects show the intent and goals of Longroad in further diversifying its portfolio of renewable energy.
Longroad Energy’s projects at present spell out a strategy for large-scale renewable energy and storage solutions and thus further solidify its leading position among the drivers in the United States energy transition.
