Sustainability Consultant Full Time

Job Description

AECOM is looking for a Sustainability Consultant to join its Madrid office.

The selected candidate will mainly support AECOM’s existing sustainability services for multinational and government clients. This will include work related to green building certifications such as BREEAM and LEED, sustainability assessments, carbon footprint calculations, and other environmental services.

The role will also involve exposure to wider building-related sustainability projects, including energy modelling, life cycle assessment, ecological studies, and other certification-linked environmental work.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct research, data analysis, and documentation reviews.
• Prepare technical reports and sustainability documentation.
• Coordinate with certifying bodies such as BRE, ITG, and GBC.
• Communicate with clients and support commercial activities.
• Assist with green building certification processes, including BREEAM and LEED.
• Support carbon footprint calculations and sustainability assessments.
• Contribute to related projects such as energy modelling, life cycle analysis, and ecological studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or equivalent qualification in Architecture, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or a related field.

Specific Skills

• Very high level of English, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage.
• Experience with sustainability certifications such as BREEAM and LEED.

Experience
