Part Time Lead Childcare Teacher Part Time - Contract

Principal Responsibilities

• Care for and ensure safety of all children in the play-based care room.
• Respond to dynamics and tricky behaviors with age-appropriate conflict management skills.
• Communicate respectfully with parents to share regular updates and emergency contacts.
• Create curriculum and plan activities to engage children.
• Collect and manage paperwork and records for parents and children.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to maintain a clean and fun environment.
• Engage in ongoing training on childcare and safety topics.
• Participate in advertising efforts to increase awareness of Patch services.

Preferred Qualifications

• More than 3 years of experience as Lead Teacher or Center Director.
• Experience managing a classroom with children of various ages.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Relevant certifications in early childhood education, such as CDA credential.
• Understanding of diverse learning styles and tailored teaching approaches.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a daycare or preschool setting as Lead Teacher.
• Knowledge of child development stages and age-appropriate learning techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and parents.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities for classroom management.
• First Aid and CPR certification (support provided prior to start date).
