Manager Public Affairs & Sustainability Full Time

Job Description

This position reports to the local Head of Department and plays a key role in shaping, building, and strengthening the company’s Public Affairs and Corporate Responsibility activities across the UAE.

Public Affairs Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and make use of relevant public affairs opportunities and important regulatory developments on a continuous basis.
• Support the building and maintenance of strategic relationships with government bodies and regulatory authorities across the UAE, ensuring the company’s role and priorities are communicated clearly.
• Assist in developing and implementing public affairs strategies across all seven emirates, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to advance ongoing projects and new initiatives.
• Prepare content, presentations, meeting materials, and event-related communications, while ensuring coordination with communications and marketing teams where needed, including authority newsletters.
• Contribute to risk mitigation efforts through online and on-ground support, as well as proper documentation of incidents.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align business priorities with policy objectives, sustainability goals, and community engagement efforts.

Corporate Responsibility Responsibilities

• Manage corporate responsibility initiatives by coordinating with internal stakeholders from departments such as commercial, operations, finance, legal, and marketing communications.
• Ensure corporate responsibility and sustainability goals are aligned with international frameworks as well as UAE government requirements.
• Track the social impact of initiatives and support reporting on non-financial performance indicators.

Qualifications

• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in Public Affairs, with additional exposure to Communications and/or Corporate Responsibility considered an advantage.
• Experience in an agency setting and/or a fast-paced in-house environment, along with project management experience.
• Relevant qualifications or practical experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, or Communications.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Results-oriented and data-driven, with demonstrated involvement in effective Public Affairs or Corporate Responsibility campaigns.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and accurate in execution.
• Collaborative and adaptable mindset, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and experience handling several projects at the same time.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment.
