General Manager- Water Full Time

Job Description

• Develop and implement best practices, strategies, policies, processes, and procedures for the Water department to strengthen operational efficiency and overall business performance.
• Ensure systems and processes are aligned with business goals and operational requirements related to cost, quality, and delivery, enabling the company to remain competitive in the market.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage long-term collaboration and repeat business opportunities.
• Lead the department effectively by coaching, mentoring, and developing team members while building a high-performing culture focused on continuous improvement, added value, and cost efficiency.
• Deliver optimal design solutions by supporting technology selection and identifying as well as mitigating risks during both pre-bid and post-bid stages.
• Review and finalize project schedules to ensure contractual commitments are met.
• Regularly track project progress and monitor design quantities.
• Secure timely approvals of deliverables from customers and client consultants to support smooth and on-schedule project completion.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations so that high-quality services can be delivered effectively.
• Respond to all client queries in a prompt and professional manner.
• Optimize resources and manage time efficiently to handle multiple tenders and ongoing projects simultaneously while meeting submission deadlines for deliverables.
• Control costs by closely monitoring actual quantities during post-bid engineering to ensure they do not exceed tendered quantities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Master’s degree in Environment, Water Resources, or a related field.

Additional Information

• Proven success in leading and managing complex projects.
• 15 to 20 years of experience in sectors such as water, wastewater, solid waste management, public health engineering, irrigation, and urban infrastructure.
• Strong track record of delivering large and complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating with major clients and government bodies.
• Expertise in developing and managing complex budgets and pricing strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and manage risks successfully.
