Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Consultant Full Time

Your Key Responsibilities

• Support the United Kingdom and Denmark teams on various impact assessment activities from Ramboll’s India office as part of the EIA team.
• Identify, review, and summarize relevant environmental and project-related data.
• Recognize data gaps and assist in planning additional data collection where required.
• Contribute to the preparation of reports in English.
• Support the preparation of environmental permit applications for the European market.
• Help coordinate inputs from internal teams as well as external specialists.
• Assist senior consultants with project-related tasks and broader project management responsibilities.

A key expectation in this role is the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, so that clients, regulatory authorities, and legal stakeholders can easily understand them.

You will join Ramboll’s Impact Assessment team in India, which is part of the company’s wider global Impact Assessment organization. This global setup has been established to strengthen growth in impact assessment services by building on existing success, maintaining a strong client focus, and consistently delivering high-quality work.

• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, or a closely related environmental field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience working on Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects.
• Experience in the energy sector would be an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
• Preferred experience in impact assessment work within industry or consultancy in international or global contexts.
• Familiarity with the application of national and international environmental regulations.
• Working knowledge of ArcGIS; experience in fieldwork and data analysis would be beneficial.
• Understanding of environmental permitting processes.
• Knowledge of sustainability and environmental management practices would be an added advantage.
• Experience in supporting or leading project workstreams and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
