Key Accountabilities

Act as the primary liaison between laboratory teams, field teams, and project management during project execution as part of data management activities.
Perform detailed review and validation of multi-media environmental chemical data in accordance with USEPA National Functional Guidelines, as well as applicable regional and state standards.
Interpret and evaluate sampling events, field sampling procedures, and chain-of-custody documentation to ensure data integrity and proper sample handling.
Assess environmental laboratory analytical data to ensure compliance with project-specific QA/QC requirements defined in Work Plans and Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs).
Prepare data usability packages including Water Level and Field Form compilations, QA/QC (EDD QC) documentation, tables, and technical reporting using the EQuIS database system.
Maintain ongoing communication with alliance partners and laboratories to ensure proper data formatting, delivery standards, and compliance requirements.
Support field operations during sampling plan development and fieldwork preparation activities.
Manage end-to-end data flow from laboratories and alliance partners through to final validated reporting outputs.

Person Specifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Engineering (required).
Minimum 2+ years of experience in environmental analytical chemistry or related field.
Strong preference for experience working with EQuIS environmental database software.
Practical knowledge of laboratory procedures and QA/QC processes in environmental testing.
Familiarity with USEPA analytical methods and standards.
Experience or exposure to analytical laboratory instruments such as ICP, ICP-MS, HPLC, GC, and/or GC-MS is preferred.
Strong understanding of scientific investigation principles, field sampling, data validation, quality assurance, documentation, and research methodologies.
