safety, health, and security processes by providing guidance, leadership, and employee engagement to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and internal Nestl\u00e9 standards.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1dbimdd\">Support safety training programs to maintain compliance and strengthen employee awareness.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"17y59j3\">Drive efforts related to <strong>ISO 45001<\/strong>, <strong>ISO 14001<\/strong>, and sustainability certification requirements.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"p7uvfr\">Assist with accident investigations, review findings and action items with factory leadership, and support hazard assessments, improvement recommendations, and communication of corrective actions.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1ttvab\">Review investigations related to injuries, near misses, and property damage incidents across upstream and downstream operations.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"10bh26t\">Ensure proper follow-up is completed to reduce future risk exposure and maintain accurate records and documentation.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"c021lr\">Initiate and evaluate corrective actions when work-related injuries, illnesses, hazards, or unsafe conditions are reported.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"dh3dl3\">Support and audit facility standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"9gb9et\">Develop Lockout\/Tagout procedures in collaboration with engineering and cross-functional teams.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1k5a3qw\">Conduct and review Job Hazard Analyses regularly and provide input on new equipment, production line layouts, and design planning.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"tuawke\">Coordinate with local emergency agencies and nearby residences to maintain strong relationships and support external communication with interested parties.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"fjk5vc\">Support the factory\u2019s emergency management process and emergency preparedness activities.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1h1svjr\">Assist with workers\u2019 compensation administration to reduce claim costs, minimise lost time, and support return-to-work programs.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"zigym4\">Support environmental sustainability initiatives, including ISO 14001 certification, water and energy conservation, waste reduction, and pollution prevention.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1ifcpkn\">Maintain focus on wastewater land application and groundwater discharge operations.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1w5wjji\">Track hazardous and universal waste usage and coordinate disposal activities.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"9ql3bg\">Complete MDEQ and EPA environmental reports with supporting records, inspections, and documentation to comply with permit and reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1bme3o0\">Lead zero-waste initiatives and work with campus leadership to develop environmental cost-saving projects.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"dl6oep\">Manage digital tools and create innovative ways to simplify and improve work processes.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"19udtd1\">Develop and conduct training related to safety, health, and environmental responsibilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"dq3d8e\">Requirements and Minimum Education<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li data-section-id=\"sbgdps\">Bachelor\u2019s degree in <strong>Occupational Health and Safety<\/strong> or a related field is required.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1t0uq1z\">Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"k3b4ll\">Must support and comply with all Nestl\u00e9 programs and policies, including affirmative action commitments, SHE strategies, corporate citizenship initiatives, GMPs, and safety policies.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"vc3jis\">Must meet requirements related to <strong>NQMS<\/strong> and ISO standards for quality, food safety, environmental compliance, and occupational health and safety.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"1w6p8mz\">Experience<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li data-section-id=\"13r7gb5\">1\u20132 years of experience in health and safety or a related field within a manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1psghil\">Demonstrated leadership experience.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1fhd5fy\">ISO\/OHSAS experience and 30-hour OSHA trainer certification are desirable.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"70jyd1\">Strong understanding of federal and state safety and health regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 data-section-id=\"196891j\">Skills<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li data-section-id=\"vcz9fr\">Strong decision-making ability in both routine and non-routine situations.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"8kkx42\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1mg452w\">Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds and levels of understanding.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1hrmmdm\">Strong training and presentation skills.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1993e1b\">Ability to work effectively and lead in a team environment.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"11u1m0u\">Working knowledge of OSHA and Michigan Workers\u2019 Compensation Law.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1eowjxh\">Technical writing skills for policies, procedures, and reference manuals.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"i3gmg3\">Computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1g7blz6\">Strong reading, comprehension, and regulatory interpretation skills.<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"mko17b\">Initiative to lead continuous improvement
